We have reached the top! The two slipform rigs on the European side has reached 208 meters. Asian side pylons will be finished during the week. The remaining construction work will be made by traditional formwork. When completed, at the height of 329,9 meters, the towers can be titulated ‘the highest bridge pylons in the world’.

Istanbul: Bridge pylons of 3rd Bosporus Bridge Project has, all four, exceeded 125 meters after the busy works during the first months.
As the towers rise to 129 meters, temporary connection girders will be located at the level of 102 meters. After this phase, fast rise will continue until 200 meters.

The construction of the 3:rd Bosporus Bridge is progressing in Turkey. All 4 of Bygging Uddemann’s slipform rigs has reached the height of 60 meters. When completed, the height of the pylons will be 329,9 meters.
